The Half Moon is a traditional country pub in the heart of the village of Windlesham in Surrey. We have for many years played a big part in the local community. We take great pride in offering a friendly service, a great selection of real ales, lagers, ciders and wine plus delicious home made freshly cooked food.
The Half Moon Freehouse dates back to the 17th Century and was originally a coaching Inn. It is a traditional, privately owned Freehouse and is a perfect example of a relaxing, friendly pub with an excellent restaurant.
Operating as a Freehouse, The Half Moon is able to offer the best classic English ales from many award – winning regional brewers.
Fuller’s London Pride from the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick
T.E.A. (Traditional English Ale) from the Hoggs Back Brewery in Tongham, Surrey
Doom Bar from Sharps Brewery in Cornwall
Plus many guest ales that change periodically.
We also support other independent family brewers such as Theakstons ,plus a long term favourite with our cask scrumpy cider, Old Rosie.
We take great care in selecting our many wines for our extensive wine list. Specialising in seeking out traditional and innovative independent vineyards we offer classical French to the best of New World’s wines.
The Half Moon has a family friendly environment for everyone to enjoy. With a large patio terrace (that is covered during the summer months) and large, very well kept manicured gardens that includes an extensive children’s play area. This allows our customers to enjoy their food and drink in a safe and family friendly environment. We also have free wifi coverage for those looking for a relaxing area to work.
The owners, Helga and Conrad Sturt along with their team look forward to welcoming you.
